Contour
Maps
Instead of default image texturing for visualizing the terrain and
topography, user may choose contour maps for visualization of :
-
Boreholes length
distribution
-
Boreholes X, Y
(Easting, Northing) distribution
-
Boreholes Azimuth /
Plunge
-
Boreholes elevation
distribution
-
Ground water level
distribution
Also, contour maps can
be used to visualize the site conditions when you have many
test-holes in the subject site. One example would be
ground improvement projects when Stone
Columns or Piles are used. Importing such data into VisLog
using the
internal editor provides user with
the features to show pile's length, diameter (as user data), etc
scatter in the site. The first ground improvement project in Canada
using Impact Piers®
has been processed with VisLog; for more information please
refer to the following paper:
"A
Case Study of Ground Improvement Using Impact Piers Method",
Alireza Afkhami Aghda, Troy Issigonis, 62th Canadian Geotechnical
Conference, September 2009.
