Our Team

The founders of "Novo Tech Software" have total of more than 30 years of experience in civil/geotechnical engineering, software development, IT governance and management, and technological start-ups business.

Alireza Afkhami has bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Master degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Soils and Foundation), and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) in software programming. His thesis and research is in “behavior of reinforced soil under earthquake condition”. Alireza has more than 14 years experiences in geotechnical engineering industry. He has been involved in software application development since 1996 and designed and developed many software applications for geotechnical and soil mechanics industries.

His software packages are ranked # 1 in geotechnical industry in Iran. His geotechnical software packages are currently used in multi-million dollar projects in large organizations including Iranian Road and Transportation Ministry. From 2007 until recently, Alireza has been working as a senior developer for one of the largest geotechnical software company in Canada, Soilvision Systems.

Saeed Otufat-Shamsi has bachelor degree in Computer Science and MBA degree in Technology Management. Saeed has been an advocate of Applying Agile processes and Lean principles to Software Development practices in many organizations. He has led several product development teams to greatly enhance their ability to transition into a more effective way of developing software.

Saeed has over 16 years of experiences in the Information Technology sector including: Program Manager, IS Project Manager, IT Compliance and Governance. Saeed is also a part-time faculty at University of Phoenix and Meritus University, teaching Management of Information Systems, eBusiness and Project Management courses.
